Casterton
WI
Belonging to the WI and being part of the Cumbria-Westmorland Federation provides friendship, fun, opportunities to listen to interesting speakers and the chance to attend courses in order to acquire new skills. You can learn something you didn't know or couldn't do yesterday. Join the WI for the ability to challenge yourself and really discover what makes you the person you are - a totally empowering experience.
‘I joined Casterton WI because I was new to the area and wanted to meet other women to develop friendships, interests and support. From the first meeting, everyone was really welcoming and as a result I have made some really close friendships, joined a Book Club, experimented with quilting and started golf. Amongst other things, the talks themselves have prompted me to visit a fantastic garden, learn about local history and explore a fascinating new range of literature’.
‘I thought I was too young for WI but the women involved are a vibrant and thriving heart of the community and my life would have been considerably less enriched if I hadn’t joined’.
‘Casterton WI provides friendship, positivity, a sense of belonging, warmth, smiles, and camaraderie’.
Casterton WI celebrated its centenary in 2019 and CWFWI in 2020.
