They enjoyed listening to Alan Otway talking about his experiences when the devastating earthquake hit Nepal and Sam Rayner about his career at Lakeland. The Kendal Performing Arts students gave a musical tribute to 'Inspiring Women'.
It was Doreen's lucky day as, at the meeting, it was announced that she had been awarded the Dorothy Rawson Memorial Bursary to go on a course at Denman College.
