As well as business, there was an interesting presentation from Gretl Cook who is manager of the Sandgate Hydrotherapy Pool.
The highlight of the evening was a talk entitled 'Romance of the Raj' given by clothes historian Meridith Towne. The story was about the clothes worn in the Twenties by a young lady aboard the Fishing Fleet, on the hunt for a husband in India and how her life turned out.
